Seborrheic Dermatitis is a skin disorder that occurs in those areas of the skin rich in oil glands. For instance, behind ears, middle of the face and specially on scalp. It is a chronic condition. Seborrheic dermatitis causes reddening of skin and large wax production in affected areas. Most common victims of seborrheic dermatitis are men, middle-aged people and infants. Causative factors are unknown. Individuals sensitive to yeast on skin as well as people infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus ( HIV ) may contract seborrheic dermatitis.
